Easter is the time to rejoice and celebrate the rebirth of goodness in the world. One of the merriest times in the year, this holy festival is awaited by one and all. On this occasion, people celebrate and enjoy with family and friends and send them wishes. Poetry is yet another fine way of exchanging greetings amongst each other. It is also a source of entertainment, as children recite funny Easter poems on this occasion. Such poems feature animated characters of Easter egg and bunny, which are quite popular among the kids. They not only create a humorous environment, but also draw everybody in the festival mood. Given below are some funny and humorous Easter poems.
Humorous Easter Poetry
Little Easter, the comedienne bunny,
Tried too hard at being funny.
She juggled and she dropped the eggs,
They fell and smashed between her legs.
Poor Easter left the stage in shame
And thought that she might change her name.
But then that bunny read this ad,
"This Sunday we need help real bad."
So Easter Bunny kept her name
And through the years has gained much fame,
When Easter's Sunday comes each year.
She delivers eggs and we all cheer.
Where's the Bunny
There was a huge shadow approaching me
It was coming at a fast pace
I was getting more frightened with every second
And that's when I realized it couldn't be
The Easter bunny was his name
Scaring 23 year olds was his game
Now that I think about it
That sounded pretty lame
He was last seen in the sun
I had no choice but to run
After I got far enough
It became no fun
"Easter Bunny" Where did you go?
I can't find you anywhere on cable
All of a sudden a crazy thought came to mind
And it's you're being served on the dinner table!
Easter Bonnet Fantasy
If I were to get a new Easter bonnet
There are just a few things I'd like to see upon it
One white bow and another of pink
A bunch of daisies, and I also think
It should have a rose, and a lovebird or two
Plus a wide floppy brim, to keep off the dew
An ostrich feather, and one from a peacock
To show that I'm hip and ready to rock
A pineapple will be the crowning touch
Though quibblers might say it's a bit too much
And they could have a point, for this hat's getting big
So maybe I'll settle for a new Easter wig.
Imagine if Easter would last forever
You'd eat candy and chocolate everyday
And have Easter hunts, and be very clever
About where to hide your Easter prey
You'd be getting presents and toys
Eat millions of caramel 'n' cakes
You'd be filled with happiness and joy
When your parents start to bake
So Easter would rule forever
Pouring with billions of treats
Eat them like a beaver
And take care where you put your seat!
But after a while it gets boring and dull
The hiding, the finding, the partying and eating
So you'd get bored and so dreadfully full
That you'd look like a fat sheep bleating
So avoid the unpleasant
Be happy today
As in all 12 months in a year
There is only ONE Easter day
