Herbed Lamb Chops

How To Make Herbed Lamb Chops

Recipe 1

Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/3 cup Red Wine Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 3 cloves Garlic (crushed)
  • 1 tsp fresh Oregano (chopped)/ ¼ tsp dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp dried Rosemary
  • 1 tsp dry Mustard
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp White Pepper
  • 8 (about 2 pounds) Lamb Loin Chops (cut 1 inch thick)
Method
  • Take a large re-sealable food storage bag and add vegetable oil, red wine vinegar, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, rosemary, mustard, salt and white pepper. Shake to mix the contents well.
  • Remove ½ cup of the marinade for basting.
  • Add the lamb chops to the marinade in the bag and shake gently. Seal the bag.
  • Refrigerate the marinade for at least an hour.
  • Remove the lamb chops from the bag and discard the marinade.
  • Grill the chops for about 8 minutes till they are done to the desired consistency.
  • Turn the chops once during grilling and baste them with the reserved marinade. Avoid basting in the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  • Serve hot with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans.
Recipe 2

Ingredients
  • ½ cup Olive Oil
  • ½ cup Red Wine Vinegar
  • ¼ cup White Wine
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 cloves Garlic (peeled and minced)
  • ¼ cup Onion (minced)
  • 1 tsp dried Tarragon
  • 1 tsp fresh Parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 4 Lamb Chops
Method
  • Combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, white wine, lemon juice, garlic and onion in a large non-reactive container. Blend the contents well.
  • Add tarragon, parsley and black pepper.
  • Add the lamb chops to the mixture.
  • Cover the container and place the container in the refrigerator for marinating for about 2 hours.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill on high heat.
  • Oil the grate lightly.
  • Grill the marinated lamb chops for about 5 minutes on each side.
